New Delhi: A high alert was sounded in Delhi after intelligence inputs claimed a probable terror threat due to infiltration by four to five terrorists, sources have informed. Intelligence agencies have alerted police on the possibility of four  men entering the national capital with an intention to carry out a terror attack. It was also told in the alert that these terrorists are entering or have entered Delhi in trucks. In such a situation, the search of suspected trucks is going on. Also, search has been started in all such places where there may be possibility of them hiding.

According to the alert received by the Delhi Police, these terrorists may be associated with the notorious terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba or Jaish-e-Mohammed. Also Read: Satyendar Jain Health Condition Stable; Likely To be Shifted To General Ward Tomorrow

It has been said that these terrorists may also possess ammunition or grenades. According to sources, immediately after receiving this alert, Delhi Police has started intensive search operations on all the borders of the capital.

The alert comes at a time when India’s focus remains divided on its borders shared by Pakistan and China separately. While tensions remain prevalent at Indo-China border after Galwan Valley face-off, ceasefire violations by Pakistan have also become frequent at India-Pak border.
The inputs have put Delhi Police on alert and a special vigil is being kept at the borders of Delhi. A close watch is also being kept in market areas and hospitals, which are seeing a large influx of patients these days. All the 15 police districts have been put on high alert along with elite units of the Crime Branch and the Special Cell, news agency PTI said in a report.

Security agencies are on heightened vigil in view of the India-China stand off in eastern Ladakh.
