Fire Breaks Out At Chandni Chowk's Lajpat Rai Market. 13 Fire Tenders Rushed To Spot

Chandni Chowk Fire: As per the statement by Delhi Fire Service, no casualty has been reported from the incident.

New Delhi: A fire broke out on Thursday morning at Delhi's Lajpat Rai market in Chandni Chowk. 13 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to extinguish the fire. As per the statement by Delhi Fire Service (DFS), no casualty has been reported so far from the incident.

Located opposite Red Fort, the fire in Lajpat Rai market started early in the morning at 4:45 am today. Around 60 shops and stalls in the market were burnt. 

It took 3 hours for the fire tenders to douse the fire. As per Indian Express, the preliminary inquiry revealed that 80 cardboard boxes had caught fire after a short circuit took place.
