Delhi govt’s ‘Happiness curriculum’ to be launched by Dalai Lama

The curriculum will be taught to around eight lakh students from nursery up to class 8 students.

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday announced that their ‘happiness curriculum’ will be taught from nursery to class 8th in all Delhi government schools. The big announcement of this came just a day after the end of CM Arvind Kejriwal’s dharna at Raj Niwas. It was also revealed that ‘happiness curriculum’ will be launched by Dalai Lama and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on 2nd July. This new initiative taken by the Delhi government will incorporate meditation, mental exercises and moral values with the aim of making kids, good human beings. Manish Sisodia said at the press conference that, “The curriculum will be taught to around eight lakh students from nursery up to class 8 students of all the Delhi government schools from July”. According to Sisodia, he and his team had been working on this since January. The Deputy CM also added, “After ten years or more, these children will become professionals like doctors and engineers filled with happiness and serve the society.”
