Delhi COVID Curbs: All Restrictions Withdrawn, No Night Curfew From Monday. Only Offline Classes In Schools From April 1
In a meeting held today, the DDMA decided to lift Covid-19 restrictions including night curfew from Monday.
New Delhi: The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has lifted all Covid-19 restrictions in Delhi amid declining cases. In a meeting held today, the DDMA decided to lift restrictions including night curfew from Monday on condition of positivity remaining below 1 percent.
The new order also asks students to return to physical classes from April 1. School authorities have been demanding end to online classes after covid-19 situation improved in Delhi.
Along with other relief, the government has reduced fine for not wearing masks to Rs 500. It has also done away with the 50 percent capacity rule at restaurants and bars.
And though restrictions have been lifted, appropriate Covid-19 behaviour like wearing of mask, maintainig social distancing, testing and vaccination amongh others will have to be followed.

Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Satyendar Jain, Revenue Minister Kailash Gehlot, NITI Aayog member VK Paul and Health Department officials were present in the DDMA meeting held on Friday.
Chief Mnister Arvind Kejriwal also took to twitter to confirm the news. While writing on his twitter handle the CM said that the decision to ease restrictions was taken becasue of improved Covid situation in the city and to help people facing hardships due to job loss.

The decision to ease norms in Delhi came a few hours after Union Home Ministry on Friday asked states and union territories to consider relaxing Covid curbs in view of declining cases across the country.
