'If You Come To Delhi...': Kejriwal Reacts To Assam CM Himanta's 'Coward' Barb. WATCH

"I invite him to Delhi, let him be my guest. I will serve him tea, and take him around Delhi. Such open threats do not befit a Chief Minister," Kejriwal stated.

On his maiden campaign event in Assam, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal criticised Himanta Biswa Sarma for his warning over a comment made within the Delhi Assembly, claiming that open threats are unbecoming of a Chief Minister.

"I invite him to Delhi, let him be my guest. I will serve him tea, and take him around Delhi. Such open threats do not befit a Chief Minister," Kejriwal stated.

Kejriwal also asked again about the Prime Minister's educational background, claiming that today's young are aspiring and that an uneducated person cannot lead them. "I'd want to ask you all if you believe voters wanted an educated Prime Minister or not. Today's young are an aspiring force. A person who is less educated or ignorant cannot lead an aspiring generation," he stated.

He questioned Sarma's leadership, claiming that in the previous seven years, all he had engaged in was "dirty politics." Kejriwal was challenged by the chief minister of Assam to reaffirm his claim that he is the subject of legal proceedings in other states.

"I heard Himanta Biswa Sarma address. He was threatening me, stating that if I came, I would be imprisoned. Assamese people are not like that; they are welcoming. They do not issue threats. Himanta Biswa Sarma should study Assamese culture and heritage," Kejriwal stated.

Earlier, Sarma had referred to Kejriwal as a coward "who is hiding behind the cloak of immunity in Delhi assembly and spouting white falsehoods" before his trip to Assam for his party's big convention.

Speaking with reporters in Guwahati, CM Sarma said: "Let him say there's a corruption case pending against me outside the assembly premises and I will sue him in the same manner I did with his colleague Manish Sisodia."

In July, Sarma filed a defamation suit after Manish Sisodia said in a news conference that the Assam government had awarded contracts to Sarma's wife company and his son's business partner to deliver Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits at market rates during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Kejriwal Attacks Assam Govt Over Exam Ppaper Leaks

Arvind Kejriwal also chastised the state government for the Class 10 board exam paper leak case. He stated that such cases have never occurred under the AAP's leadership in Punjab and Delhi.

Slamming the state government, Kejriwal stated: "There is unemployment in Assam. Paper leaks happen in Assam; someone is playing with the future of children. No paper leaks happen in Punjab & Delhi. If we get a chance in Assam we will work here & give our best. We gave employment to 12 lakh youth in Delhi."

Earlier, a total of 27 persons, including teachers and students, were arrested by Assam police. The question papers for two courses in the current exams administered by the Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) were leaked, prompting considerable criticism of the state administration.
