Background

The situation is becoming dire as India witnessed Corona positive cases breaching the one-lakh mark for the first time since the start of the pandemic. 

Union Health Ministry informed that 478 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours due to coronavirus. 

Eight states, including Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat, have contributed majorly to the daily caseload.

High-Level Public Health Teams Sent To States

As per news agency ANI, the Centre has rushed 50 high-level public health teams to Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Punjab for COVID-19 control and containment measures.
