Corona Vaccine Drive: Shiv Sena MLA Dr. Deepak Sawant Becomes The First In Mumbai To Be Vaccinated Against Covid-19
Being a doctor, MLA Deepak Sawant was given the Coronavirus vaccine shot. He and his wife both were inoculated in Mumbai’s Cooper hospital.

Being a doctor, Former Maharashtra Health Minister Deepak Sawant was given the vaccine shot along with his wife who was also a practicing doctor until five years ago. Both were inoculated in Cooper hospital, Juhu.
Speaking to ABP News, Deepak Sawant said that doctors asked him to rest for half an hour. He was asked to report symptoms in case he gets a headache or any kind of discomfort - else later have paracetamol. He said he’s not feeling any kind of side-effect after taking the vaccine shot.
The Shiv Sena MLA expressed a lot of confidence as he emphasised that there should not be any apprehensions about the vaccine, it is completely safe and secure.
"People must not believe in any rumours and must come together for inoculation. To clear the doubts people have, I've got the vaccination done!" he tweeted.
In Mumbai, the four medical colleges where the vaccination drive is being executed are Sion, King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEM), Nair, and Cooper.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Covid-19 vaccination drive in India on Saturday. He teared up as he talked about the struggle-filled journey of lakhs of people who worked to eradicate the deadly pandemic from the country. "Some of them could not even return home," he said.
"India begins the world’s Largest Vaccine Drive. This is a day of pride, a celebration of the prowess of our scientists and the hard work of our medical fraternity, nursing staff, police personnel and sanitation workers. May everyone be healthy and free from illness," the PM tweeted.
