New Delhi: A day after the trailer of upcoming film- The Accidental Prime Minister made ripples, stirring a controversy; the Congress party is likely to impose a ban on the movie in all the states run by the party. This comes after the party had raised an objection to the trailer of the movie, calling it ‘motivated’.
The movie has been produced around a book written by Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s media adviser Sanjaya Baru. It stars actor Anupam Kher, who is enacting as Manmohan Singh and Akshay Khanna who is enacting as Baru.
The Congress has expressed its unhappiness over the trailer. When questioned about the movie, former PM Manmohan Singh maintained his silence.
The leaders have claimed that the trailer has shown the party leaders in 'disparaging' manner.
The trailer of the movie was released on BJP’s social media account, and is being called as BJP’s vendetta by Congress.
