The Denmark PM, Mette Frederiksen was received at the Delhi airport by MoS for External Affairs, Meenakshi Lekhi.

Frederiksen is on a 3-day visit to India from 9th Oct to 11th Oct. During her visit, she will call on President Ram Nath Kovind & hold bilateral talks with PM Modi. She'll also meet EAM S Jaishankar.

 

In other news, reports say that in the Lakhimpur violence case, the main accused, Ashish Mishra, the son of MoS Home, Ajay Mishra is expected to appear before the UP police on Saturday after the police issued a fresh notice outside Mishra's office. Mishra failed to appear before the police citing 'health reasons'.  be 

 

The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) said that it is still waiting for the arrest of Ashish Mishra and his accomplices.

The farmers' group also condemned the statement of Uttar Pradesh minister Baldev Singh Aulakh that the Lakhimpur Kheri incident was an "accident" and demanded that he withdraw it.

On the recent killings of Kashmiri Pandits: Vowing to punish the perpetrators of recent terror attacks in Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday night warned those aiding and abetting terrorists that every drop of innocent civilians' blood will be avenged.

The LG assured the people that they will "completely demolish" the terror ecosystem. After that the mainstream parties have put the blame on the LG for the lack of safety of people.

Follow Raj Dharma, Sack Ajay Mishra: Congress To PM Modi

The Congress on Saturday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to follow 'raj dharma' and sack Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra immediately to "help restore the glory of India and its democracy".

Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said the country and its democracy have suffered a dent after farmers were allegedly crushed under the SUV belonging to the union minister.
