The biggest news of the day is the announcement by MP Modi to repeal the three farm laws. The Prime Minister made this announcement on Friday. Even after the announcement, the Sanyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) is yet to back down and stop the protest as the farm leaders said that they will only step back when the notification to repeal the laws is generated by the government.
“We hope that the government will not let its announcement go waste and go full length to fulfill our demands, including legislation to guarantee MSP,” the umbrella body of farmer unions wrote in a statement, as reported by news agency PTI.
Welcoming the Union government’s decision to repeal the three laws, SKM stated that if the farm laws are formally repealed, it will be a “historic victory” for the farmers who struggled for a year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday hit out at the opposition saying that the base of politics for some political parties has been “to keep farmers entangled in various problems”.
In other news, the AQI continues to soar and the Delhites face breathing and visibility issues. Even today the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi is in the 'very poor' category.
Congress will celebrate 'Kisan Vijay Diwas' across the country today in view of the decision to withdraw all three central agricultural laws.

New Delhi, Nov 20 (PTI) The CBI on Saturday filed its charge sheet in the case of death of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad chairman Acharya Narendra Giri against his disciple Anand Giri and two others, officials said.
In its charge sheet filed in a court in Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh, the CBI has charged Giri, priest of Allahabad's Bade Hanuman Temple Addhya Tiwari and his son Sandeep Tiwari with criminal conspiracy and abetment to suicide, they said.
