Patna: As the Assembly Elections in Bihar is just days away, ABP News along with CVoter conducted one of the biggest Opinion polls in the state to figure out the mood of voters and it looks like Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is all set to return to power with National Democratic Alliance (NDA) securing a big majority. The survey, conducted across Bihar in participation of over 30,000 people, found out that in the upcoming polls CM Nitish Kumar-led NDA will bag somewhere around 135-159 seats in the 243 member Bihar Assembly.

While on the other hand, the survey also states that UPA Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Communist Party of India (ML)(L) lags behind massively with securing mere 77-98 seats in the polls.

However, what is worth noticing is the fact that the ABP News-CVoter shows former NDA ally in Bihar Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) bagging around 1 to 5 seats in the state while others parties could get 4-8 seats.

Bihar Assembly Elections 2020: Vote Share

The survey also predicted that NDA will garner as much as 43 per cent of the total vote share, whereas Mahagathbandhan will bag 35 per cent votes in the Assembly polls. Chirag Paswan's LJP might only get 4 per cent of the total vote share, survey said adding that Others might get 18 per cent in their kitty.

Breaking down NDA's vote share, the survey finds that BJP will alone secure 22 per cent votes in the upcoming polls where as Nitish Kumar's JDU will bag 18 per cent votes. VIP, which is also a part of NDA in Bihar, will get close to 2 per cent votes in the elections.

In Mahagathbandhan, RJD is likely to get 24 per cent votes whereas Congress could end up with just 6 per cent votes in the state elections. Other parties such as CPI, CPI (M) and CPI (ML)L will get 1 per cent, 0.5 per cent and 2.7 per cent votes, respectively.

Bihar Assembly Elections Campaigning

With campaigning for assembly elections on at full swing in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former Congress president Rahul Gandhi have added further heft and heat to the proceedings.

Bihar Assembly Elections: The 'Controversial' Manifesto

BJP on Thursday released its election manifesto or 'Sankalp Patra', making a slew of promises which including 'free Covid-19 vaccines' to every citizen of Bihar and a promise to provide as many as '19 lakh jobs' for the youth.

The promises made by the saffron party provoked criticism from the Opposition parties, with RJD pointing out that coronavirus is a worldwide pandemic and it needs a collective effort from all sections to defeat it.

Even the promise of 10 lakh jobs by RJD has rattled the JD-U and BJP. Hence, many leaders including Nitish Kumar and Sushil Modi questioned RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. They claim that it is not realistic and just a poll gimmick to gain votes.

In Bihar, polling for the 243-member assembly elections in three phases will be held on October 28, November 3 and November 7, while counting will take place on November 10.

The first phase will go to polls for 71 assembly seats on November 28, while the second phase will go to 94 seats on November 3 and 78 seats in the last phase on November 7.
