In the final leg of the ABP-CVoter Opinion Poll, as many as 29.5 per cent of Bihar's population seems to be in favour of Nitish Kumar returning as the Chief Minister while Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav and LJP's Chirag Paswan are not far behind in the fray.
Going by the figures from the ABP-CVoter Opinion Poll, 19.9 per cent of the state population is predicted to prefer Rashtriya Janata Dal's Tejashwi Yadav as CM candidate. Former CM and Tejashwi's father Lalu Prasad Yadav's image meanwhile has suffered a major hit as merely 9.8 per cent want him to retain power in the state.
Besides the ruling party JDU and opposition party RJD, if any other political unit that appears to be influencing the vote share in the state, is the Lok Janshakti Party. Chirag Paswan is being seen as a rising potential CM candidate as at least 13.8 per cent of the population stands in favour of Paswan sitting on the seat of the Chief Minister this time.

When asked about comparison between 15 years governance of Lalu Prasad Yadav and 15 years governance of Nitish Kumar, the survey revealed that more than half the population -- 61.6 per cent of the population comprising East Bihar, Magadh-Bhojpur, Mithilanchal, Seemanchal and North Bihar regions considered JDU in terms of better governance.
On vote percentage, NDA appears to be behind with 28 per cent voting share, while RJD leaps ahead with as much as 46 per cent vote share. Chirag Paswan's LJP might bag a voting share of 4 per cent, while Others might manage to get a voting share of 22 per cent.
The first of the three phase polling in Bihar is to be held on October 28. The polling for the second and the third phase will be conducted on November 3 and 7 while the results are expected to be out on November 10. Of the total 243 constituencies, 71 will go to the polls in the first phase.
