Bhopal: Girl held hostage by fanatic lover at her own house rescued after 12 hours

The incident is of Misrod in Bhopal, where the one-sided lover of the girl forcefully barged into the girl's house and since then had kept her hostage despite police force present at the spot.

New Delhi: A 30-year-old woman who had been kept hostage at gunpoint inside her own home in Bhopal by a man who claimed to be her lover was rescued by police after hours of struggle, amid a series of threatening by the kidnapper. The victim has been rushed to hospital. In a display of extraordinary nerve in broad daylight, a fanatic lover of a girl had kept her hostage in her own house in Bhopal even when the police had surrounded the house. She was however rescued after an operation that continued for 12 hours and the accused was arrested.

The incident is of Misrod in Bhopal, where the one-sided lover of the girl forcefully barged into the girl's house and since then had kept her hostage despite police force present at the spot.  He claimed to love the girl and said that he wants to marry her.

The kidnapper was also talking to the media via video calling app and was threatening the police against entering the house. As per reports of ANI, on an alarming note, the girl was seen covered in blood. Even though police had covered the house from all sides, they were not able to break into the house before 12 hours. Police had earlier said  'He claims he loves her & wants to marry her” The officials had told the media: “He had asked us for a stamp paper & mobile charger. When we tried to barge in, he threatened us.” “ We saw the girl, she was covered in blood.' Cops are trying to rescue her,” they added.
