Ballabgarh Shooting: After a 21-year-old student was shot dead in broad daylight in Haryana's Ballabgarh, a massive outrage was sparked in Faridabad demanding a speedy justice. The female student named Nikita was shot dead in a brazen act outside the Aggarwal College in Faridabad’s Ballabgarh, by a man named Touseef, who is allegedly a friend of the victim. The woman, who was a B.Com final year student, had come out of her college after appearing for an exam when the incident took place on Monday.

After launching a manhunt to nab the two accused, police was successful in arresting both of them.

"The culprit in the Ballabhgarh incident has been arrested. Strict action will be taken against the culprit," Haryana CM ML Khattar said after the arrests were made. 

The family members of the girl have alleged that Touseef pressurized her to convert to Islam and upon denying, he tried to abduct her. On being unable to capture her,  he shot her dead. The victim had reportedly also filed a complaint of against the accused few years ago.

"We complained earlier also as these people used to trouble her and now they killed my daughter," said victim's father. "He tried to forcibly make her sit in his car but she refused and then he shot her," he said.

A dramatic CCTV footage of the murder has surfaced. The visuals show the perpetrator getting out of the car and pulling out his revolver. The girl Nikita is seen trying to flee the situation and was able to dodge the assailant for a brief span but was nabbed by him, and was shot in point-blank range.  An aide of the assailant is seen pulling him back in the car. They then fled the scene.

Meanwhile, people got out on streets demanding justice in the case and a quick action against the accused.
