Taking to his official Twitter handle, CM Kejriwal said that LG's order has created a huge problem for the state as providing treatment to non-Delhi residents is a big challenge.

"LG Sahib's order has created a huge problem and challenge for the people of Delhi. Providing treatment for people coming from all over the country during Coronavirus pandemic is a big challenge. We will try to provide treatment to all," Arvind Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi.

Addressing a press briefing on June 7, Arvind Kejriwal said that hospitals affiliated with the Delhi government would be reserved only for Delhi residents. At the same time, people living in other states can access the Central government hospitals for treatment.

However, LG Anil Baijal in his capacity as Chairperson of the DDMA, on Monday directed departments and authorities of National Capital Territory of Delhi to ensure that treatment is not denied to any patient on grounds of not being a resident of Delhi.

Reacting upon Baijal's decision of overruling Kejriwal's hospital order, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia claimed that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) pressurised LG to take the decision.

"The state governments of BJP are busy with PPE kit and ventilator scams. The Delhi government is trying to manage this disaster honestly, thoughtfully. But the BJP cannot digest this, so it has played cheap politics by putting pressure on L-G," Sisodia said in a tweet.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Delhi CM himself developed sore throat and fever which are also strong symptoms of Coronavirus and has gone into self-quarantine. Kejriwal will be undergoing Covid-19 test tomorrow.
