New Delhi: In yet another update in the Alwar case, in which the Rajasthan government is facing flak from the opposition, the police has found no evidence of the sexual assault incident so far. According to Dr. Ravi DIG, civil rights, the police are investigating the case from various angles. “However, the possibility of sexual assault is low.”

Dr. Ravi told news agency ANI that “We had examined multiple CCTVs at different locations from her home till the starting point of the flyover in which the girl is seen fine.”

He further added that “There is a possibility that the incident would've taken place at the flyover where she spent 5-7 minutes. We're investigating the case from different angles. For now, I can't reach any conclusion. However, the possibility of sexual assault is low.”

The incident took place on Tuesday, January 11 when a differently-abled 16-year-old girl was found lying in a pool of blood on a bridge near the Tijara Fatak with multiple injuries. She was first admitted to the district hospital and later shifted to JK Lone hospital.

While there were speculations of gang rape, the police have not found any evidence as yet. The medical report of the victim shows no injuries in the private parts, as reported by ANI.

“On the basis of technical evidence and video received by police, rape survivor is seen walking on Tijara flyover (incident spot) looking healthy. Doctors stated that her medical examination suggests no injury in her private parts,” Alwar Superintendent of Police Tejaswani Gautam told ANI.

Meanwhile, as the issue has led to an outrage in the state, the Rajasthan Human Rights Commission has directed the Alwar district administration and Superintendent of police to submit a report by January 18.

The police have already examined the auto-rickshaw driver and auto in which the victim traveled from her village alone. Further investigation is ongoing and the police will soon interrogate the fellow passengers from the auto.
