'Those Who Don't Have Hair...': Akhilesh Yadav Hits Back At Adityanath For ‘Red Cap-Black Deeds’ Jibe
Akhilesh Yadav slammed UP CM Yogi Adityanath for remarks on SP's red cap. He said the BJP leader's remarks were a result of his inability to accept defeat in UP during in Lok Sabha polls.
Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has hit back at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his recent remark calling SP’s signature red caps a symbol of “black deeds”, and suggested those who were criticising his party might need a cap themselves. This came a day after Adityanath slammed the Samajwadi Party saying its cap is "laal" (red) but "karnaame kaale hain" (the deeds are black) and its history is replete with misdeeds.
Defending his party, Yadav while speaking to India Today, said, "Red is the colour of emotions. Red is the colour of Goddess Durga."
The Samajwadi Party leader, who was in Kannauj to meet supporters, said, "They are abusing our cap, yet our behaviour is so good. At least we have full hair, so we are wearing a cap. Those who do not have hair should also wear a cap."
As per the report, Yadav also claimed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader's remarks were a result of his inability to accept the saffron party's defeat in Uttar Pradesh during the recently concluded Lok Sabha Election. "Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath could not bear the shock of defeat in Uttar Pradesh and that's why he is making such statements," India Today quoted Adityanath as saying.
UP CM's Kaale Karname Remark
Addressing a job fair in Kanpur on Thursday, Adityanath said, “Before 2017, UP was desperate for its identity and anarchy was at its peak. Lawlessness had become its identity and riots used to occur before every festival. Daughters and businesses were not safe.” He said youngsters were forced to leave the state and faced an identity crisis.

“Everyone is familiar with the misdeeds of the SP. If you turn the pages, the SP’s history is full of black deeds. The SP’s cap is ‘laal’ (red) but its ‘karname kale hain’ (deeds are black). They are repeating their history,” the Chief Minister said.
