ABP E-Shikhar Sammelan: Miscreant Syndicates Spreading Islamophobia To Defame India, Says Mukhtar Naqvi

While speaking to Rubika Liyaquat during an interactive online live session, the Union Minister iterated the initiatives and measures taken by the ruling government for the minority sections.

New Delhi: Union Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Friday at ABP News's e-Shikhar Sammelan said that NDA government's first year of second term under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been the "Year of justice for all". While speaking to Rubika Liyaquat during an interactive online live session, the Union Minister iterated the initiatives and measures taken by the ruling government for the minority sections. "Our government has worked for every section of the society. Whether the challenge was to provide electricity to the villages or generating employment for the minority sections, Modi government has on its toes since the day to bring prosperity in the society. " Over the past two months, India is fighting a tough battle against novel Coronavirus which has infected over 1,65,000 people and claimed over 4000 deaths. Though the crises paralyzed the entire system, minorities, poors, labourers appeared to be the worst-hit section. Speaking on the controversies around Islamic communities in the amidst of Covid-19 pandemic, Naqvi said that it is commendable how the entire nation has stood up to fight the battle together. However, there are some miscreant groups in the country which have tried to spread rumors and portray India as an islamophobic nation. "Some people are trying to create Islamophobia and in-turn defame India. But the reality is that India and Modi Government since 2014 has expanded ties with Islamic countries. PM Modi's first priority is to provide education, employment and empowerment to the minorities," minister said. "Drop out rate of students have come down ever since Modi government took over the Centre. Ever since the independence of India, no government could generate a much employment for the minority sections as much the Modi government has done," Naqvi added. But when questioned about the ban on conducting Namaz over the loudspeaker, the minister said that people unanimously decided to conduct Ramzaan prayers at their homes. Moreover there were no Temples, Gurudwaras or Churches holding prayers on the loudspeaker.
