7 Pilgrims Sleeping On Pavement Mowed Down By Speeding Bus In UP's Bulandshahr
According to initial reports, the victims belonged to Hathras and were returning from Naraura Ghat after taking a dip in the Ganga river.
Bulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh): In a tragic incident, seven people were mowed down by a speeding bus in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh early on Friday. Reports say all the victims belonged to a single family who were returning after a pilgrimage.
The victims, which included for women and three children, were sleeping on the roadside when the bus crushed them.
According to initial reports, the victims belonged to Hathras and were returning from Naraura Ghat after taking a dip in the Ganga river.
The private bus was returning with pilgrims from Vaishno Devi, reported news agency IANS.
The driver is absconding after the accident, police said. All bodies have been sent for post mortem.
