5 Dead, Several Injured After Truck Collides With Car In Rajasthan, CM Gehlot Expresses Grief

The accident happened on the Rawatsar- Sardarshahar Mega Highway on Saturday at 10:30 PM.

5 Dead, Several Others Injured After Truck Collides With Car In Rajasthan's Hanumangarh

Five people were killed and another injured after a car collided with a truck carrying bricks in Rajasthan's Hanumangarh district.  The accident took place late Saturday night near Bisrasar village on the Rawatsar-Sardarshahar highway. 

Police informed on Sunday that three people died on the spot while two others succumbed at a local hospital, reported PTI. 

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot took to Twitter to express condolences over the loss of lives, adding that he prays for the speedy recovery of the injured.

"Three people died on the spot and two others at a local hospital. The injured person was referred to Bikaner for treatment," Pallu Station House Officer Gopi Ram said.   

"A truck and a car collided with each other on Rawatsar- Sardarshahar Mega Highway at around 10.30 pm last night. Out of 6 people in the car, 3 died on the spot and 2 during treatment. One injured has been referred to Bikaner", he told ANI.

The SHO said the truck was going towards Sardarshahar from Pallu, and the car came on the highway from Bisrasar village. The deceased were identified as Raju Meghwal, Naresh Kumar,  Danaram, Bablu and Murli Sharma.  According to the SHO, the truck driver has fled from the spot and police are searching for him.
