India Coronavirus Cases Today: Slight Dip Noticed As Country Reports 3.57 Lakh Fresh Covid Cases In 24 Hrs

As per the Union Health ministry, India reported 3,57,229 new COVID19 cases in past 24 hours. 3,449 people succumbed to the deadly disease yesterday while 3,20,289 recovered and discharged. 

After days of continuous spike in the number of Coronavirus cases, India reported a slight dip as the country lodged 3,57,229 new COVID19 cases in past 24 hours. As per the Union Health ministry, 3,449 people succumbed to the deadly disease yesterday while 3,20,289 recovered and discharged. 

Total cases: 2,02,82,833
Total recoveries: 1,66,13,292
Death toll: 2,22,408
Active cases: 34,47,133
Total vaccination: 15,89,32,921

In order to contain the spread of COVID-19, the Centre has initiated vaccination for all above 18 years of age. The Phase-3 of Covid-19 Vaccination come into force from 1st May 2021. 2,15,185 beneficiaries of the age group 18-44 years received their first dose of COVID vaccine yesterday across 12 States/UTs. The total vaccination across the country has crossed more than 15.88 Cr mark. 

The country has administered nearly 16.5 lakh vaccine doses till 8 pm on Monday. The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country stands at 15,88,71,435
