In its latest blog post, the company has stated that the "80W Mi Wireless Charging Technology is capable of filling a 4,000 mAh battery to 10% in 1 minute, 50% in 8 minutes and 100% in just 19 minutes."

In comparison, the 30W Mi Wireless Charging Technology launched in 2019 was capable of charging a similar battery to 50% in about 25 minutes, and 100% in 69 minutes. Xiaomi has also shared a video that demonstrated the fast wireless charging on a 'modified' model of the Mi 10 Pro. In the video, the 80W wireless charger is seen powering the battery to 100 percent in 19 minutes. However, it depends on real world testing on standard phones. If it stands true to its claims, then the 80W prowess could make Xiaomi's technology the fastest wireless technology in the world.

Upping the ante The company has been striving to develop technology in the wireless charging space and announced Mi 10 Ultra with support for 50W fast charging. It has also unveiled a 40W wireless charging technology just before that. But the latest technology can prove to be a game changer with it super-fast charging to take over the existing fastest wired charging technologies. Along with its focus on building wireless charging technologies, the company is also aiming to create a new wired fast charging standard that could provide more than 120W charge to phones , that is already available on Mi 10 Ultra. In its next-generation flagship smartphone this technology can be used and made official before the launch of the phone. Earlier in March, it has introduced the 40W wireless charging while in August it offered the first mass-produced 50W wireless charging technology which is again broken again with 80W Mi Wireless Charging Technology. Xiaomi had also recently unveiled Mi 10 Ultra, the world’s first smartphone equipped with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
