According to a report by data analytics firm Sensor Tower, Indonesia at 11 percent and Brazil at 9 percent were the countries where the app was installed by most.
"Our estimates include downloads for the App Store and Google Play worldwide between August 1, 2019 and August 31, 2020. Apple apps and Google pre-installed apps are excluded. We report unique installs only. Android estimates do not include third-party stores," the analytics firm wrote in a statement.
TikTok's recent troubles with India ban and then attack from the US administration, were expected to dent the app's userbase as most of its users were previously reported to be from the US and then India.

The following three are dominated by Facebook and its products as Facebook's own app, Instagram, and WhatsApp completed the list of top five most installed non-gaming apps worldwide for the month.
