Quick Read: Gionee launches P7 smartphone in India at Rs 9,999

New Delhi: Riding on its successful P series, Chinese smartphone maker Gionee on Monday unveiled its P7 smartphone at Rs 9,999 in India. The budget-friendly smartphone features a 5-inch HD IPS display and supports VoLTE and CDMA technology. "Our latest smartphone Gionee P7 is a figure of strength and performance," said Deepika Singh, Director, Marketing Communications, Gionee India, in a statement. The device runs on quad core 1.3GHz processor integrated with 2GB of RAM, sports 5MP secondary camera with "screen flash", 8MP primary camera and has several in-built features like text recognition in pictures, GIF creator and intelligent photo crop. The smartphone has 16GB internal memory, expandable up to 128GB, runs on Amigo 3.2 user interface on top of Android 6.0 Lollipop operating system and houses 2300 mAh battery.
