iPhone SE 2: Apple Launches Its Budget Offering, Know All About The Price & Specifications

Apple on Tuesday launched an affordable second-generation iPhone SE which is being pitted against smartphones like Pixel 4a, OnePlus 8, Huawei P40 and Galaxy S20. So what makes this iPhone an interesting offering by Apple? Here is all you need to know about its specification and price. Specifications Display: The latest iPhone SE comes with 4.7-inch Retina HD display that has 750x1334 pixels resolution. It also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10. The display panel features Haptic Touch support. Processor: It is powered by the Apple-designed A13 Bionic, which also powers the iPhone 11 range. According to Apple, it is up to 40% faster than iPhone 8, and will be two times faster than its former variant - iPhone SE 2016. Camera: iPhone SE features the best single-camera specs in an iPhone as it features a 12MP f/1.8 aperture Wide camera at the back. It offers 4K video recording at up to 60fps, and Smart HDR for photos. There is a sapphire crystal lens cover to protect the rear camera. There is Portrait mode, Portrait Lighting effects and Depth Control. For selfies, there is a 7-megapixel camera at the front, with an f/2.2 aperture. Battery & Charging: The company has not specified the battery capacity but it said that the battery would last about as long as the iPhone 8, with up to 13 hours of video playback and 40 hours of audio playback time. iPhone SE is capable of wireless-charging with Qi-certified chargers and it also supports fast-charging. Apple claims that users will witness up to 50 percent charge in just 30 minutes. Storage: It available in three storage variants - 64GB, 128GB and 256GB models. The company has not revealed the amount of RAM. There is no microSD support for expanding the memory and it also comes with Dual SIM support. Back: The iPhone SE features an aerospace-grade aluminum and durable glass design with an all-black front. It will be available in black, white and Red through Apple Authorised Resellers and selected carriers. Other Notable Aspects: There is a Touch ID home button built into the bottom bezel. You’ll be able to unlock your phone with your fingerprint rather than Face IDs. There is the good old bezel at the top and the bottom of the display. The phone is IP67 dust- and water-resistant. Also, it does not come with a 3.5mm headphone jack on it. Price In India the starting price of the iPhone SE2 is Rs. 42,500 for the 64GB storage variant, while the smartphone is also available in 128GB and 256GB storage variants. The Indian prices for the other variants have not been revealed. The availability in India will be announced at a later date. The first iPhone SE was quite loved in India for its affordable price, small size and high-end performance. It will be interesting to see how will the iPhone SE2 fare as an affordable option for those who wish to own an iPhone.
