HTC launches premium 'U' series of smartphones in India

NEW DELHI: Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC Corporation on Tuesday launched HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play devices which are priced at Rs 59,990 and Rs 39,990, respectively. Both the smartphones come with 3D-contoured, liquid-adaptive HTC U sonic technology for personalised hearing experience and a unique combination of MegaPixel and UltraPixel camera technology on the front to provide vivid light, colour and detail. "The launch of the HTC ‘U’ series marks the beginning of our several exciting launches in India this year. Our focus is on design, quality, HD adaptive audio and Artificial Intelligence integration for the discerning customer looking for a premium product with a global appeal," Faisal Siddiqui, President-South Asia, HTC, said. htc u ultra-compressed HTC U Ultra The HTC U Ultra comes equipped with the dual display, HTC Sense Companion, U Sonic and Voice recognition. The device has BoomSound Hi-Fi edition speakers and camera with 16MP and UltraPixelTM in the front and 12MP UltraPixel main camera to deliver less blur, faster focus, better photos at night. The smartphone is powered by 2.15GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The HTC U Ultra is available in three colors, which include Brilliant Black; Cosmetic Pink and Sapphire Blue. HTC launches premium 'U' series of smartphones in India HTC U Play The HTC U Play with a 5.2-inch display and is available in Iceberg White, Indigo Blue, Black Oil and Cosmic Pink Gold colours. The device is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. HTC U Play packs a 16-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 16-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The smartphones come with a one-year insurance that covers liquid damage and any physical damage to the phones.  The customers also have an option to avail 7.5% cash back on the MOP value of both the phones using Standard Chartered Debit or credit card. This offer is valid from 6th March 2017 - 31st May 2017. Both the devices comes in with a 64GB memory variant. HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play will be available in Indian market from 6th March ‘17 and mid-March ’17 respectively. HTC U Ultra Specifications
