As the popular saying goes ‘love has no age’ and Brazilian football superstar Neymar’s mother is the most recent example. The 52-year-old Nadine Goncalves is in news for dating a young video gamer who is only 22-year-old.  In fact, that is six years younger than Neymar Jr. Goncalves announced about her relationship with gamer Tiago Ramos on Instagram where she posted a photo in which she can be seen embracing Ramos.


She wrote in the caption in Portuguese, "O inexplicável não se explica, se vive (The inexplicable cannot be explained, you live it…”)

Nadine had split with Neymar’s father and agent, Wagner Ribeiro, in 2016 after 25 years of marriage. Her new relationship seems to be appreciated by both her son and ex-husband who showed their happiness in comments on her Instagram feed.

While Neymar wrote ‘Be happy Mom, Love u’ her ex-husband commented using applause emojis.


The young gamer is part of a gaming team called 4K Easy and is also a model and a gym enthusiast. He is also a fan of the twenty-eight-year-old Paris Saint-Germain star and had even sent a message to him in 2017. According to a report by UK daily The Sun, Ramos wrote to Neymar “You are fantastic, I don't know how to explain the emotion of being a fan of a guy like you, I see you playing and I'm very motivated, one day I hope to read this message with you, be your brother, and play together. I know that one day I will meet you because I am a dreamy boy where I do not give up on my goals! Stay with God, very successful and happy."

Social media has erupted after the announcement and there is a slew of memes joking about the age gap and calling Ramos Neymar’s ‘Stepdad’. But most social media users are supporting Goncalves’ announcement and are even showing their support for Neymar and his mother on social media.
