President Kovind To Visit Assam And Mizoram From May 3-6
Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India, will visit Assam and Mizoram from May 3 to 6, 2022.
The President will address the 61st annual meeting of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha in Tamulpur, Assam, on May 4, 2022. On the same day, he will attend the valedictory ceremony of the North East Festival in Guwahati, which is held by the Ministry of DoNER as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The President will address the 16th convocation of Mizoram University in Aizawl on May 5, 2022.
The Bodo Sahitya Sabha was established in 1952 to promote the advancement of literature, culture, and language. It is taking the lead in preserving collaboration among various ethnic groupings.
Eid-Ul-Fitr To Be Celebrated In India On May 3
According to news agency ANI, because the crescent moon for the Islamic month of Shawwal was not seen on Sunday evening, clerics throughout the country stated that the holiday of Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed in India on May 3.
According to the Markazi Chand Committee in Lucknow, because the Shawwal crescent was not seen on Sunday evening, May 2 will be recognised as the end day of Ramzan, and Eid ul-Fitr will be celebrated on May 3.
Delhi To Receive Rainfall On May 3: IMD
In a respite from the scorching heat for people in India, the Indian Meteorological Department has said that Delhi will be witnessing rainfall on May 3. The weather department also said that the heatwave is over in most parts of the country and the temperature will subside over Delhi and adjoining parts of northwest India from Monday,
RK Jenamani, Senior Scientist, IMD said that the western disturbance is quite active. The temperature will not increase this week. he also said that a yellow alert for thunderstorms has been issued for Northwest India which has been experiencing soaring temperatures in March and April.
Jenamani said, "Heatwave is over in most parts of India including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and UP. Western disturbance is quite active. Temp will not rise for next 6-7 days. Northwest India has yellow alert for thunderstorms. Delhi to receive rainfall on May 3rd."
Fire Breaks Out At MCD Office In Delhi's Keshav Puram, No Casualties Reported
Fire broke out at MCD office in Delhi's Keshav Puram area. According to reports, 8 fire tenders reached the spot to douse the fire. Delhi Fire Service officer Paras Kumar said, "There was a fire in the MCD office. The fire has been doused. No casualty has been reported."
