Rahul Gandhi To Address Rallies In Poll-Bound Telangana On Nov 1
Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Rahul Gandhi are set to participate in campaigns in Telangana on November 1, for the November 30 assembly polls.
According to Congress sources, Rahul Gandhi, besides addressing public meetings, will also participate in a padayatra from Shadnagar Railway Station to Shadnagar Chowrasta.
Priyanka Gandhi will address a public meeting in Kollapur besides interacting with women in Devarakadra on the 'six guarantees' that the party has announced for Telangana, they said.
Sitharaman To Embark On 3-Day Visit To Sri Lanka On Nov 1
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will embark on Wednesday on an official three-day visit to Sri Lanka. Sitharaman will deliver a keynote address at NAAM 200 -- the 200th anniversary of the arrival of Indian-origin Tamils in Sri Lanka.
Sitharaman will also inaugurate SBI branches at Trincomalee and Jaffna on November 2 and November 3, respectively. Sitharaman will also visit Lanka IOC Oil tank farms, Jaffna Cultural Centre, and Jaffna public library during her official visit. NAAM 200 will be graced by Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena and other senior ministers.
Sitharaman will also deliver a keynote address at the India Sri Lanka Business Summit on the theme 'Enhancing Connectivity: Partnering for Prosperity', being jointly organised by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Indo-Lanka Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, on November 2.
Delhi Court To Hear Arguments On Rajasthan CM's Appeal Against Defamation Complaint Today
A Delhi court will hear on November 1 arguments on an appeal filed by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot against a complaint by Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat accusing the Congress leader of defamation.
Additional Sessions Judge M K Nagpal also said that the order passed earlier, directing a magisterial court here to refrain from passing the final order in the complaint until the next date of hearing, will continue till November 1. The judge fixed the date on a request made jointly by senior advocate Vikas Pahwa and advocate Mudit Jain, appearing for Shekhawat and Gehlot, respectively.

Curfew Relaxation Cancelled In Imphal West
"Curfew relaxation order in Imphal West district stands cancelled. However, movement of persons belonging to essential services such as Health, Electricity, PHED, Petrol Pumps, Schools/Colleges, Municipality, Press and Electronic media, functioning of Courts and to and fro movement of flight passengers to airport and Contractor/Worker with valid Airport Entry Permit (AEP) Card shall be exempted from the imposition of curfew," said a statement issued by the office of the District Magistrate Imphal West District, Government of Manipur.
