Union Home Minister Amit Shah To Attend BJP Meeting In MP's Bhopal Today:
Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah will on Wednesday visit Bhopal where he will chair a meeting of the ruling party ahead of crucial assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, news agency PTI reported citing party sources said on Tuesday. This will be the second visit of Shah in less than a fortnight to Madhya Pradesh, where polls are due by the year-end.
Shah will land in Bhopal, where he will be welcomed by Madhya Pradesh home minister and government spokesperson Narottam Mishra, and then head to the BJP office where he will preside over the party meeting at around 8 pm, the report said.
Oppn To Submit No-Confidence Motion Notice Against Govt In Lok Sabha On Wednesday:
The alliance of 26 opposition parties 'INDIA' will submit a notice for a no-confidence motion against the government in Lok Sabha on Wednesday to make Prime Minister Narendra Modi speak in Parliament on the Manipur violence, senior leaders of the front said.
The alliance has already drawn up a draft of the notice and is in the process of getting the necessary 50 signatures of MPs.
The group has to submit the notice before 10 am for it to be read out by the speaker in the House on Wednesday.
Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Congress Lok Sabha Leader, told ANI: "...But he (PM) has been declining our pressing demand." Nature, on the other hand, made an innocuous demand. Nonetheless, the Prime Minister has ignored our request. That is why we proposed a vote of no confidence. Where the main opposition argument...the allegations against the government are expected to be addressed by the Prime Minister himself. This was our desperate attempt, and because we had no other options, we were forced to use this parliamentary tool known as a no-confidence motion."
Gyanvapi Mosque Management Moves Allahabad HC Over ASI Survey, Hearing Scheduled For July 26:
The Allahabad High Court is set to hear a plea again on Wednesday against a Varanasi court's order directing the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to conduct a survey to determine if the Gyanvapi mosque was built upon a temple. Chief Justice Pritinker Diwaker presided over the matter during the day and scheduled it for further hearing on Wednesday. The Anjuman Intezamia Masjid, which manages the mosque, had previously filed the petition in the high court.
