J&K: Terror Crime Incident In Shopian, Terrorist Fires On Civilian Who Managed To Remain Unhurt

Police in Shopian received information regarding a terror crime in the Heerpora area. Terrorists shot a civilian, Waseem Ahmad Wani, according to preliminary investigations. The attackers, however, missed their intended target, and he escaped unharmed.

Krishna Janmabhoomi Dispute: Survey Report Of Mosque Complex To Be Filed On Jan 20

Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah dispute: Counsel for Shahi Masjid Idgah says they will file an objection to the district court ruling on the filing of Idgah's survey report on January 20.


According to the counsel for petitioners who have sought its relocation, a district court has ordered a revenue department official to produce a survey report on the Shahi Idgah mosque complex on January 20.


According to petitioners' counsel Shailesh Dubey, the order was issued by Civil Judge Senior Division (III) Sonika Verma in the case of Bal Krishna and others vs Intezamia committee and others.


"On December 8, the learned judge directed Amin (a revenue department officer) to inform both parties and submit a survey report on the next hearing," the counsel added. (PTI Input)

Jharkhand: 12 Students Injured As Bihar School Bus Overturns In Ranchi

More than 12 students from a Bihar school were hurt after their bus toppled in Jharkhand's Ranchi district on Sunday, news agency PTI reported citing a police officer. 


According to a senior official, the tragedy happened in the afternoon in the Sikadari area, around 50 kilometres from Ranchi, when the driver lost control of the bus and it toppled.


According to Sikidari police station in-charge Satya Prakash Ravi, the bus carrying 64 children and teachers was on its way to Ranchi's Hundru Falls. (PTI Input)

The Punjab Police stated on Sunday that it had busted a drug smuggling ring and detained two individuals in possession of 10 kg of heroin and a sophisticated drone.


The accused have been identified as Dalbir and Jagdish, both residents of Gharinda in Amritsar, according to Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav.

Four people were killed after their automobile crashed into a huge drain here on Sunday, According to police.  The bodies have been transferred for post-mortem examination, police said. Services On Delhi Metro's Magenta Line Restores After An Hour Of Suspension

The Magenta Line, which runs from Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh to the Botanical Garden, has finally been restored. The services had previously been suspended for roughly an hour due to "security reasons," according to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.

Noida Police Seizes, Destroys Illicit Liquor Worth Rs 3.80 Cr Following Court Orders

A senior official said on Sunday that 60,000 litres of illicit liquor worth Rs 3.80 crore seized by Noida police had been destroyed in accordance with court directions.


Ashutosh Dwivedi, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida), stated that the booze was seized in 500 cases between 2015 and 2022.


He stated that the illegal booze was burned on Saturday.


"Around 60,000 litres of liquor which was seized by Sector 39 and Sector 20 police stations has been destroyed after due procedures. This liquor was occupying storage space in these police stations. This liquor was estimated worth Rs 3.80 crore," Dwivedi was quoted as saying by the news agency PTI. (PTI Input)

President of Karnataka contractors' association arrested

Vayyalikaval Police have arrested D Kempanna, the president of the state unit of the contractors' association, who has accused the government of 40% corruption, ANI reported.


After Kempanna's allegation, Minister of Horticulture and Planning Muniratna filed Rs.50 crore defamation case against Kempanna. A non-bailable warrant was issued by the court against Kempanna after a criminal defamation case was filed against Minister Munirathna.

NID DAT 2023 Registration With Late Fee Ends On Sunday: 


The National Institute of Design (NID) will conclude the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2023 registration window with a late charge on Sunday. Interested students should apply for the NID DAT 2023 exam at admissions.nid.edu. The application portal will be available until 2 pm.


The DAT preliminary test for the BDes and MDes programmes will take place on January 8, 2023. From December 25 to December 27, 2022, candidates will be able to revise their NID DAT applications. On January 2, 2023, the DAT prelims admission cards will be available on the official website.


The DAT exam will be administered by NID in two stages: prelims and mains. Candidates must appear in both exams to be considered for admission to various BDes and MDes programmes provided by NID institutes in Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Assam.


GNOU Admission 2023: BEd, PhD, BSc Nursing Entrance Exam Registration Ends Today:


The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will end the registration window for the BEd, PhD, and BSc Nursing entrance exams 2023 on Sunday. The online registration link can be found on IGNOU's official website, ignou.ac.in. On January 8, 2023, IGNOU will hold an entrance exam for admission to BEd, PhD, and BSc Nursing programmes.


Before applying, candidates must ensure that they meet the program's qualifying requirements. Candidates must have a scanned photograph (less than 100 KB) and a scanned signature before filling out the form (less than 50 KB). The application fee must be paid by credit card, debit card, or net banking.
