After power-packed campaigning by the Prime Minister in Ayodhya, there is a sense of positivity among the BJP. The ruling party is looking to consolidate the momentum. The Chief Ministers of 12 BJP ruled states will visit Ayodhya to seek the blessing of Lord Ram. These include Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Gujarat, Haryana, Goa, Bihar, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh.

The Central Cabinet to hold a vital meeting today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be chairing the meeting in which the main agenda would be economy and related matters. On the other hand, the opposition will hold a meeting regarding the suspension of 12 MPs from the Rajya Sabha. NCP Chief Sharad Pawar will be attending the gathering as well.  A report states that Sharad Pawar has been tasked to speak with Rajya Sabha chairman Venkaiah Naidu regarding the same.

In other news, the omicron cases are steadily rising, not just in India, but also worldwide. Addressing a press conference, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, "77 countries have now reported cases of Omicron and the reality is that Omicron is probably in most countries, even if it hasn't been detected yet. Omicron is spreading at a rate we have not seen with any previous variant."

Tamil Nadu Reports First Omicron Case, Nigeria Returnee In Chennai Tests Positive

First Omicron case confirmed in Tamil Nadu, state Health Minister Ma Subramanian informed on Wednesday. A 47-year-old man who returned to Chennai from Nigeria tested postive for the variant.
