Karnataka: BJP Chief JP Nadda To Visit Poll-Bound State Today:
JP Nadda, the national president of the BJP, will arrive in Karnataka on Monday (April 24) for a three-day visit ahead of the state Assembly elections. He will take part in a roadshow in Sidlaghatta, Chikkaballapura district. He will also pay a visit to the Sirsi temple in Uttara Kannada district and speak at several public gatherings.
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar To Meet His Bengal Counterpart Mamata Banerjee Today:
The meeting between Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee which was scheduled to take place on Sunday (April 23) was postponed to Monday (April 24). Nitish will meet the TMC supremo in Kolkata today.
President Droupadi Murmu To Visit Haryana On Monday:
President Droupadi Murmu will visit Karnal and Hisar in Haryana on Monday, according to an official statement issued on Sunday. The president will attend the 19th convocation of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research - National Dairy Research Institute in Karnal. While in Hisar, she will attend the 25th convocation of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, according to a statement issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Eight More Services On Mumbai Metro Lines 2A And 7 From Monday:
A Maha Mumbai Metro official said on Friday that eight more services will begin operating on Metro Lines 2A and 7, bringing the total number of services on the route to 253, PTI reported. This increase will ensure that there is a service every 7.28 minutes, up from 7.50 minutes now, though non-peak hour frequency will remain at 10.25 minutes, according to a Maha Mumbai Metro release.
The service expansion was made to meet the route's growing demand and to improve commuter experience by reducing waiting time, according to the release.
