Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a 108-feet tall idol of Lord Hanuman at Keshvanand Ashram in Gujarat's Morbi town on Saturday. The inauguration will take place via video conferencing at 11 am on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
Flight Operations At Gujarat's Keshod Airport To Begin On April 16
Flight operations at Keshod airport will begin on April 16 in an effort to enhance tourism in Junagadh.
The airport will connect Junagarh and other Gujarati cities to the rest of the country.
Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Civil Aviation Minister, will perform the inauguration. Under Regional Connectivity Schemes, the minister will launch additional flights between Mumbai and Keshod (RCS).
According to estimates, the terminal building was recently refurbished, with almost INR 25 crore spent on the project.
TTD Invites Tamil Nadu CM For Srinivasa Kalyanam On April 16
Y.V Subba Reddy, Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board, formally invited Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin to the auspicious Srinivasa Kalyanam, which will be held in Chennai on April 16.
The huge Island Grounds on the banks of the Cooum River is preparing to welcome Srivaru and his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi's heavenly wedding on the auspicious day of Chitra Pournami on April 16 in Tamil Nadu's capital Chennai.
Extensive preparations are underway for the great spiritual celebration, which will be TTD's first religious fiesta following a two-year hiatus due to the Covid.
Russia-Ukraine Conflict
The head of Kyiv's regional police force said on Friday that more than 900 bodies of civilians were discovered in the region around the Ukrainian capital following the withdrawal of Russian forces, AP reported.
Andriy Nebytov said the bodies were abandoned in the streets or given temporary burials. He also said that 95 per cent of the bodies discovered had gunshot wounds.
"Consequently, we understand that under the (Russian) occupation, people were simply executed in the streets," AP quoted Nebytov as saying.

Stone-Pelting, Vehicles Torched During Violence In Delhi's Jahangirpuri, Police On Alert
Violence broke out during a Hanuman Jayanti procession in northwest Delhi's Jahangirpuri area on Saturday, leaving several police personnel injured. There was stone-pelting and some vehicles were also torched, police said.
"It was a traditional procession and was being escorted by police personnel. However, a clash between two communities erupted as the procession reached near Kushal cinema hall," a police officer said.
