Two persons were killed and 11 others injured in separate road accidents in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia and Balrampur districts, police said on Sunday, as reported by the news agency PTI. A clerk of the commercial tax department was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a speeding tractor in Alavpur village in the Sukhpura area of Ballia Saturday night, they said.
The deceased was identified as Mahesh Srivastava (47), police said, adding he was returning from duty when the incident occurred. The body has been sent for post-mortem, they said, PTI reported.
In another accident, a woman was killed and 11, including three children, were injured when their vehicle overturned on Deoria turn in the Dehat area of Balrampur on Sunday, police said. The incident took place they were doing to a 'dargah' (shrine) in Bahraich. Razia (45) died on the spot, police said. Among those injured, the condition of two is stated to be critical, they said. Superintendent of Police Keshav Kumar said the body has been sent for post-mortem.
A team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday arrived in Bhopal to interrogate the arrested members of the terror module Hizb-ul-Tahrir (HuT). According to sources in the NIA, they had recently lodged an FIR in this connection and have started an investigation.
The NIA is working together with Madhya Pradesh Police ATS to probe the matter. "We are trying to ascertain what was their possible future course of action and determine the number of states they have targeted," IANS quoted an NIA source as saying.

At least two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Pakistan's Bannu district of northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, said on Saturday that the exchange of fire took place during a search operation in the Janikhel area of the district.
The personnel of the security forces killed two terrorists during the exchange of intense fire and also confiscated weapons and ammunition from the site. Two soldiers of the Pakistan Army also lost their lives, Xinhua news agency reported. The ISPR added that the country's armed forces are determined to eliminate terrorism.
At least 10 Islamic State (IS) militants were killed in attacks targeting IS hideouts in Iraq's eastern province of Diyala during the past 24 hours, the Iraqi military said.
Based on intelligence reports, Iraqi air forces conducted airstrikes on IS hideouts in the Himreen mountain range of northern Diyala on Friday and Saturday, destroying the hideouts and killing seven IS militants in total, according to a statement on Saturday issued by the Security Media Cell, a media outlet affiliated with the Iraqi Joint Operations Command (JOC).
According to the statement, the commandos of the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service carried out attacks on IS hideouts in the same area on Saturday, killing another three IS militants, Xinhua news agency reported.

US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin To Arrive In India Today:
US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin will arrive in India on Sunday for a two-day visit to discuss ways to expand bilateral strategic engagement ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Washington.
According to people familiar with Austin's visit, he and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will discuss a number of new defence cooperation projects that will be unveiled after Modi's talks with President Joe Biden in Washington two weeks later.
The proposal by General Electric to share fighter jet engine technology with India, as well as India's plan to purchase 30 MQ-9B armed drones from US defence major General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc (GA-ASI) for more than USD 3 billion, are likely to be discussed during the Singh-Austin talks on Monday.
Air India Express To Start Haj Flights From Kannur, Kozhikode On June 4:
Air India Express will start operating Haj flights from Kannur and Kozhikode on June 4.
According to a Friday press release, the Haj charters will take place in two stages. In the first phase, it will operate 44 flights from Kozhikode to Jeddah and 13 flights from Kannur to Jeddah, carrying 8,236 Haj pilgrims.
The carrier will operate 44 flights from Medina to Kozhikode and 13 flights from Medina to Kannur in the second phase.
"This is the airline's first time operating Haj services after winning the government-released bid for the two cities in Kerala," according to the release. The airline has introduced colour-coded pouches for elderly pilgrims to carry their boarding passes and brightly coloured luggage tags for easier identification and to prevent baggage mishandling, it said.
G20 Health Working Group Meeting In Hyderabad Starts On Sunday:
An official announced on Saturday that the third meeting of the G20 Health Working Group (HWG) will be held in Hyderabad from June 4-6.
The third HWG meeting will include a main event as well as a side event focused on collaboration on R&D in Medical Counter Measures (MCMs). Co-branded events with the Global Vaccine Research Collaborative and a Joint Finance Health Task Force meeting are also planned, according to Additional Secretary Lav Agarwal of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at a press conference in Hyderabad.
