Vinod Kambli Health Update: Vinod Kambli has issued a statement for the first time since being admitted to hospital in Thane late on December 21 (Saturday) night. He is now recovering after reports suggested his condition was critical. Currently undergoing treatment for brain clots, Kambli expressed his gratitude to the doctors for saving his life.
The 52-year-old, who has battled multiple health issues in recent years, recently made headlines after an emotional reunion with his childhood friend and cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar, at an event honoring their former coach, Ramakant Achrekar. Kambli's appearance in a wheelchair at the event sparked concerns among his fans regarding his health.
After being hospitalised, Kambli thanked his doctor for saving his life, stating he would follow all medical instructions and hopes to inspire others through his recovery.

"It is because of the doctor here that I am alive... All I would say is that I will do whatever sir (referring to the doctor) asks me to. People will see the inspiration that I'll give them," Kambli told PTI.
The doctor treating Vinod Kambli said the team was inspired to help him, as Kambli often shares his cherished memories, and they wanted to support him in return.
"We always had a cricketing image of sir (Vinod Kambli) in our mind. So, it inspired us that sir needs us and so, the entire team decided to do something for sir. He keeps telling us about his good memories," the doctor said.
