An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 on the Richter Scale hit Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, at 21:34 pm, as per National Center for Seismology.

Amit Shah To Visit Tamil Nadu On Thursday To Campaign For Five NDA Candidates
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Tamil Nadu on Thursday to campaign for five NDA candidates. During his visit, he will arrive in Tamil Nadu in the afternoon and participate in four roadshows across four Lok Sabha constituencies: Ramanathapuram, Tenkasi, Kanyakumari, and Theni.
Additionally, he will address a rally at Anna Nagar in the Madurai Lok Sabha constituency to support senior BJP leader Raama Srinivasan's campaign.
According to IANS, Amit Shah's schedule includes attending roadshows for former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and NDA-backed independent candidate O. Panneerselvam (OPS) in Ramanathapuram and for TMMK leader B. John Pandian in Tenkasi.
Moreover, the Union Home Minister will join the roadshow of senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan in Kanyakumari, where the Tamil Nadu BJP aims to secure victory over the Congress.
Shah will also participate in a campaign event for AMMK leader TTV Dhinakaran in Theni, the sole Lok Sabha constituency in Tamil Nadu where the NDA alliance emerged victorious in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Centre Stresses Generating Awareness For Heat-Related Illness Management
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday stated that continuous efforts towards generating awareness is necessary for better management of heat waves. He further said that effective addressing leads to effective management. The Union Health Minister chaired a meeting to review the preparedness of public health in order to ensure that the heat-related illnesses are managed properly.
Mandaviya also highlighted the significance of timely action soon after the India Meteorological Department (IMD) alerts were issued rin the states. He also stated that timely, wide, and advance awareness among the people regarding preventive measures will hugely contribute towards reducing the severe impact of such heat waves.
'Time To Give Reply To BJP': AAP MP Sanjay Singh After Walking Out Of Jail
AAP MP Sanjay Singh walked out of Tihar jail after six months on April 3, a day after he was granted bail by the Supreme Court in the Delhi excise policy case. Soon after his release Singh hit out at the BJP, saying that the saffron party has inducted all corrupt leaders and that it was time to give a reply to the party. "AAP will not be scared," he stated.
The AAP MP reached the party headquarters late night on Wednesday, where he told the party workers that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain are in jail because they wanted to provide facilities to the 2 crore people living in Delhi.
Accusing that BJP is inducting all corrupt leaders from different parts of the country, Singh stated: "There is widespread tyranny in the country. The time has come to give a reply to the BJP."
The AAP MP also asserted that Arvind Kejriwal will not resign as the Delhi Chief Minister and will continue to serve the people of Delhi
