Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy convened a significant meeting with prominent figures from the Telugu film industry on Thursday. The meeting started at 11 AM took place at the Police Command Control Centre in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
A delegation of influential film personalities led by producer Dil Raju reportedly led the discussions. Among the attendees are celebrated producers such as Allu Arvind, Daggubati Suresh Babu, Suniel Narang, Supriya Yarlagadda, Chinababu, Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar, Vishwaprasad, Sudhakar Reddy, KL Narayana, Vamshi, and Bhogavalli Prasad. Renowned actors Venkatesh, Nithin, Kiran Abbavaram, Varun Tej, Shiva Balaji, and Nagarjuna have also been invited by Dil Raju to participate in the deliberations.
The meeting include directors from the Telugu film industry with notable names such as Veer Shankar, Sai Rajesh, Vasishta, Trivikram Srinivas, Vamshi Paidipally and Prashanth Varma. Key industry associations, including the Telugu Film Chamber, Film Federation and MAA Association, have been invited to contribute their perspectives.
Government representatives including Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy, and Damodar Raja Narasimha took part in the meet.
The agenda for the meeting will focus on pivotal issues, including the development of the Telugu film industry within the state, equitable theatre allocation for small and medium-budget films and measures to promote movies that celebrate Telangana's cultural heritage. Discussions will also cover ticket pricing policies, the regulation of benefit shows and recent controversies surrounding events at Sandhya Theatre. The Gaddar Awards will also feature prominently in the talks.
