"The situation in Hong Kong has achieved a major transition from chaos to governance," Xi said as he vowed a "major struggle against separatism and interference" in Taiwan.
"China has achieved comprehensive control over Hong Kong, turning it from chaos to governance, Chinese President Xi Jinping said in a speech on Sunday at the opening of the once-in-five-year Communist Party congress in Beijing," news agency Reuters quoted him as saying.
"China has also waged a major struggle against Taiwan separatism and is determined and able to oppose territorial integrity," the Chinese President asserted.

Amit Shah To Launch Country’s First Hindi Version Of MBBS Books
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will release India’s first MBBS syllabus in Hindi on October 16 as part of the Madhya Pradesh government’s initiative to teach higher education subjects in Hindi. According to state government officials, Amit Shah will be launching three MBBS syllabus books for first year students, thus initiating learning medical science in Hindi.
The books, they said, will have scientific biological terms written in Devanagari script and explanations in Hindi.
“The books are sort of Hinglish in Devanagari script not to stigmatise the MBBS degree,” Madhya Pradesh medical education minister Vishwas Sarang said.
Mumbai Central Railway To Carry Out Mega Block
The Western Railway and Central Railway will carry out mega blocks on Sunday. A statement issued by the Western Railway said that a jumbo block will be carried out in between Marine Lines station and Mahim Junction station.
As per the statement, the railway will carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment, a jumbo block of five hours will be taken on down slow lines between Marine Lines and Mahim stations from 10:35 am to 3:35 pm.
According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur, CPRO of Western Railway, "during the block period, all down slow lines suburban trains will be operated on down fast lines between Marine Lines and Mahim station. These diverted trains will not halt at Mahalaxmi, Prabhadevi and Matunga Road stations for want of platform. Passengers are allowed to travel in the opposite direction for their destinations between Bandra and Mumbai Central stations. All down slow services will avail double halt at Lower Parel and Mahim Junction. Some suburban trains will remain cancelled during the block."
Chinese Lanterns Banned in Mumbai From Today
Flying lanterns, commonly known as Chinese lanterns, are prohibited from usage, sale and storage in Mumbai from today till November 14.
As per a police official, given the circumstances in the regions under Mumbai Police authority, using these lanterns could endanger human life and public safety. The order stated that curbs must be placed on the use, sale and storage of flying lanterns in the city to stop the actions of anti-social elements.
