Maharashtra: Congress Likely To Finalise Seat-Share Deal With MVA On March 21
The Congress is likely to finalise its seat-share arrangement with the Shiv Sena (UBT) and Sharad Pawar's NCP faction in Maharashtra on March 21, with the grand old party set to contest from around 19 seats in the state. While the Shiv Sena (UBT) is likely to contest 23 seats, the NCP's Sharad Pawar faction will field candidates from six seats, according to talks with various partners so far, news agency PTI reported, citing sources.
The sources stated that talks are being held among leaders of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in Maharashtra and a final formula is likely to be announced by Thursday.
According to PTI sources, Prakash Ambedkar has written to the Congress leadership and said his Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi will support the party from outside on seven Lok Sabha seats. The Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi is not a part of the MVA. The Congress' screening committee met at the party headquarters on Tuesday and discussed the party candidates.
A meeting of the party's central election committee will be held on Wednesday to discuss and finalise its candidates from Maharashtra. Top leaders who attended the screening committee meeting included Ramesh Chennithala, the AICC's Maharashtra in-charge, and the Congress' state unit chief Nana Patole. Maharashtra has 48 Lok Sabha seats, the second highest after Uttar Pradesh's 80.

3 Booked For Theft Of Palladium Worth Rs 2.4 Cr In Navi Mumbai
Three people were booked for allegedly stealing palladium (rare and lustrous silvery-white metal) worth Rs 2.40 crore in Navi Mumbai, a police official said, as reported by news agency PTI. The three are staffers of a company in TTC industrial area in Pawne that deals in platinum, the Turbhe police station official added.
"The theft of 10 kilograms of palladium worth Rs 2.40 crore took place on March 18 between 6:30pm and 7:30pm. The loot has been recovered. No arrest has been made and further probe is underway," the official said, as quoted by PTI.

CBI, Europol Signs Agreement Establishing Relations Between Indian Authorities, European Union Agency
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Europol, today signed a Working Arrangement establishing cooperative relations between the law enforcement authorities of the Republic of India and the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol).
The Working Arrangement was signed by Catherine De Bolle, Executive Director Europol and Praveen Sood, Director, CBI. The signing was concluded in a virtual event held on 21st March 2024, simultaneously in New Delhi and the Hague with the presence of senior CBI and Europol officials.

3 Dead In Separate Road Accidents in UP's Gonda
Three people were killed in two separate road accidents here, police said on Thursday. Additional Superintendent of Police (East) Manoj Kumar Rawat said Om Prakash Verma alias Raju (25) and Yadvendra Tiwari (28) were travelling on their motorcycle to Balrampur for work on Wednesday evening when a vehicle hit them from behind near the Devtaha village on the Gonda-Balrampur road, as reported by news agency PTI.
Both the victims were rushed to a community health centre where the doctors declared them brought dead, Rawat said.
