50-Year-Old Covid-19 Patient Commits Suicide In Bengaluru Hospital
A 50-year-old man who was tested positive with the novel coronavirus killed himself by jumping off hospital floor.
Coronavirus in Karnataka: A 50-year-old man who was tested positive with the novel coronavirus killed himself by jumping off a building. The man who was diagnosed with the virus on Friday committed suicide by jumping off a building here. Reports by PTI say that the man jumped from the fifth floor of a trauma centre of the Victoria Hospital by using the fire exit window. According to the health department, the man was suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) and had kidney issues. The family had kept him in quarantine after he had tested positive. Report by Deccan Herald says that the deceased who was staying with his brother and other family members was suffering from kidney problems and was undergoing treatment for it.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Rohini Katoch Sepat said the 466th positive case was on dialysis for the past few years and was also suffering from kidney ailments. He was a resident of Tilaknagar in Bengaluru and his COVID positive status surfaced on Friday, Sepat added in a report by IANS.
India had recorded over 27,892 confirmed cases of coronavirus and the death toll has reached 872. In Karnataka confirmed cases have reached 503. According to a report by IANS the state reported eight new COVID-19 cases which include a 13-year-old boy. Recently Bengaluru had also tested plasma therapy as a treatment option for critically ill patients. Karnataka Health Minister B. Sriramulu had announced the decision on Friday and had also tweeted about it.
