World Food Safety Day 2022 Theme
The theme for the World Food Safety Day 2022 celebration is “Safer Food, better health”. WHO has also launched a global campaign to inspire participation. The theme reflects a holistic approach toward the food system for better health in a sustainable manner to prevent food-borne diseases and decrease the burden on the health care system throughout the world, especially after a global pandemic.
The campaign for the 2022 year as per the food organization will focus on safer food which is an important aspect to improve health and well being not just physically and mentally but also with respect to animals and the environment. This campaign is to discuss and transform the food system globally to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and also address the climate change issues hand in hand.
WHO, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nation and Sustainable Development Goals has released a guide where they talk about the ways we can celebrate it and with this, it also releases key messages that are very catchy and easily understandable like “If it is not safe, it is not food”, “Investing in food safety today will reap future rewards”.
