7. Christ The Redeemer, Brazil
Christ the Redeemr is an iconic statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, symbolising peace and unity, Completed in 1931, the statue stands 38 meters talls and overlooks the city from the top of Corcovado Hill, with its arms extending 32 meters wide. The triangular shaped tower, made of soapstone tiles, is an architectural beauty. Designed by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa and sculpted by French artist Paul Landowski, the statue represents a combination of artistic vision and engineering skill.
