With the International Day of Yoga (IDY) just around the corner, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on people worldwide to embrace yoga and incorporate it into their daily lives. During his recent 'Mann Ki Baat' radio broadcast, PM expressed his excitement for the upcoming International Yoga Day program, where he will participate at the United Nations headquarters in New York on June 21 during his visit to the US. He also highlighted the remarkable enthusiasm for Yoga Day, including its vibrant presence on social media platforms.

PM Modi emphasized the significance of June 21, the International Day of Yoga, which is eagerly anticipated by people in every corner of the world. This year's theme, "Yoga For Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," reflects the essence of yoga as a unifying force that fosters the well-being of all, promoting the idea of "One World-One Family."

As per tradition, various yoga programs will be organized nationwide, engaging people from all walks of life.

Encouraging individuals to embrace yoga as a regular part of their routines, PM Modi during his 'Mann Ki Baat' address stressed that the upcoming IDY 2023 provides an excellent opportunity to embark on yogic journey.

"I urge all of you to adopt yoga in your life, make it a part of your daily routine. If you are still not connected with yoga, then the 21st of June is a great opportunity for this resolve. There is no need for many frills in yoga anyway. See, when you join yoga, what a big change will come in your life," he said.
