Currently, because of the lockdown people have to find things inside their homes to keep them interested in giving rise to a lot of people trying out new recipes. Ever since the lockdown, recipes are one of the most searched on Google. Indicating that bored people are getting creative in the kitchen and since there’s no more take out or restaurant to eat at people are just creating the experience at home Dalgona Coffee is now being dubbed as quarantine coffee, the main reason why this coffee is becoming so popular is because it’s so easy to make. All you need is some instant coffee that needs to be whipped until really frothy with some sugar and warm water then add it to iced milk. Dalgona coffee has been recreated by so many people, it’s beautiful too look at and gives you that coffee shop feels right at home! Banana Bread is usually made with overripe bananas and doesn’t really have a very complicated recipe, unlike many desserts. At the same time, it gives the pleasures of baking. Probably why we’re seeing influencers, celebrities, and regular people all just baking banana bread to post on their social media handles. While the recipe is easy it is a very labour-intensive, perfect recipe to pick when you know you can’t go anywhere. Cooking when things are uncertain is comforting and gives a sense of control. People engage all their senses into cooking which can make them forget about the difficult times. The smell while cooking can also take us back to comforting places of childhood.
