Rahul Gandhi Poster Row: Kerala Congress Workers Conduct Protest Marches, Burn Effigy Of PM Modi
In Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram, Congress workers burned down the effigy of PM Modi.
Congress workers held protest marches and burned effigies of PM Modi across Kerala over the poster recently released by BJP on their social media platform depicting Rahul Gandhi as a 'new age Ravan'. In Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram, the protesters led by the District Congress Committee marched to BJP party office and raised slogans against the party and PM Modi. The agitators also burned down the effigy of PM Modi.
Congress workers called the posters "totally unacceptable" and "downright dangerous". The leaders also held protests in various cities including Delhi, Jammu, Srinagar and Jaipur.
In Kerala, the protesters also shouted slogans in support of Rahul Gandhi.
Later, the police took to lathi charge and used water cannons to disperse the party workers.
Earlier, BJP on X shared a picture of Rahul Gandhi with the caption, "The new age Ravan is here. He is Evil. Anti Dharma. Anti Ram. His aim is to destroy Bharat."

Congress To Protest Against Price Hike
The UDF announced a Secretariat siege on October 18 in Kerala against the rise in the price of essential commodities and pending issues in the rationing system. UDF convenor M M Hassan told the media that at least 25,000 party workers are expected to attend the protest.
Hassan said the upcoming protest will also focus on two main issues -- the controversy surrounding AI cameras and bribery allegations against the Left government. In addition to this, the UDF plans to stage demonstrations on October 16 to bring attention to issues affecting the cooperative sector in the state.
From October 10 to 15, there will be marches taking place at the panchayat level.
