Another ‘Mix-Up’ At Kozhikode Govt Hospital? Hospital Denies Patient’s ‘Wrong Implant’ Claim
The allegation surfaced shortly after a doctor at the same hospital was suspended for allegedly operating on tongue of a 4-year-old girl instead of performing a procedure to remove her sixth finger.
After a patient alleged a surgical error at Kozhikode Government Medical College Hospital, the hospital dismissed the claims as baseless, stating that the patient received the standard treatment for his type of fracture. The patient, Ajith, claimed that an orthopedic surgeon implanted a rod intended for another patient.
