CPI(M) Leader Hacked To Death In Kerala's Koyilandi, Bandh Announced
A bandh has been declared in Koyilandi today in protest against the death of CPI(M) leader PV Sathyanathan.
CPI (M) district secretary P. Mohanan said that a local leader of the party, PV Sathyanathan, was hacked to death by an axe during a temple festival at Cheriyapuram Temple at Koyilandi in Kozhikode last night, as reported by news agency ANI on Friday. A bandh has been declared in Koyilandi today in protest.

According to ANI, the incident took place on Thursday night during a festival at the Cheriyapuram Temple. CPI(M) district secretary P Mohanan claimed that the local leader was attacked with an axe. A bandh has been declared in Koyilandy today in protest over the leader's death, he added.
