'I Will Not Go From Here': Kerala Guv Arif Mohammad Khan Fumes After SFI Stages Black-Flag Protest. WATCH

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan started an impromptu sit-in protest on the roadside in Nilamel, Kollam district on Saturday

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan refrained from following the usual protocols of his office and started an impromptu sit-in protest on the roadside in Nilamel, Kollam district on Saturday. He took to the protest over the alleged failure of police to stop the black flag protest and demanding stringent action against Student Federation of India (SFI) activists who raised banners and slogans against him at Nilamel. 

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan faced black flags from SFI in Kollam on Saturday. While his motorcade passed through a road with a heavy police escort, SFI students staged a black flag protest. Subsequently, Governor Arif Mohammed Khan said he wouldn't leave and claimed that police gave protection for the protestors.

After SFI activists held a protest against him in Kollam, Governor Arif Mohammed Khan said, "I will not leave from here. Police is giving them protection." 

 

The incident took place Governor was en route to Kottarakka to inaugurate an ashram's centenary. On his way, SFI activists from a private college reportedly gathered on the roadside, shouting slogans. Eyewitnesses said that the protesters tried to approach the Governor's cavalcade, but the police on duty made them return to the roadside.

However, the Governor reportedly still exited the car and approached the policemen, pointing fingers angrily. He accused them of providing protection to the SFI activists.
 
Even earlier, there have been numerous confrontations between Governor Arif Khan and the SFI. He was met with protests in Idukki and Thiruvananthapuram as well.
