New Delhi: Bengaluru police on Monday detained three persons for throwing black ink at Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) spokesperson Rakesh Tikait at a press conference. Amid chaotic scenes, seen in the video posted by news agency ANI, Rakesh's face was smeared with black ink. In the video, it's also seen that the people are involved in a shuffle, throwing chairs at each other.
While alleging police haven't provided security, Tikait accused the state government of being involved in the incident. "No security has been provided by local police here. This has been done in collusion with the government," BKU leader Rakesh told news agency ANI.

"We were doing a press conference when some people came and started hitting us with the mics that were present there. It's Karnataka Govt and police's failure. It was a conspiracy and needs to be investigated," Tikait told news agency ANI.
A regional news channel has recently alleged that Karnataka farmer leader Kodihalli Chandrashekar was asking for money. On Monday, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait held a press conference to explain about the allegation Chandrashekar has been facing. Tikait also claimed in the press meet that he wasn't involved in the bribery, said a Times Now report. During the press meet, some people started to argue and smeared TIkait's face with black ink.
Tikait was at the forefront during the farmer's protests, which lasted for over a year in the national capital.
